Close Enough, a Bluegrass Band
Close Enough formed in the fall of 2012, after a year of Sunday jams. We are: Tracey Seaward (guitar, lead vocals), Dave Forget (banjo, fiddle), Rebecca Comay (doghouse bass), Cary Fagan (mandolin). We can only look up to the terrific bluegrass bands playing in Toronto--the Foggy Hogtown Boys, the Slocan Ramblers, Houndstooth, The Unseen Strangers. But we're having fun and working on that true bluegrass sound. Check here for our upcoming gigs.

The last
Alas, Close Enough is no more. Our short run was a great deal of fun. Thanks to anyone who came out to see us.

June 23 is our last gig before the fall
All right, so you didn't get to the first bluegrass festival ever (see poster). Maybe you didn't even get to Tottenham this year. But you can come and see Close Enough for the last gig before our summer hiatus. Singer and guitar picker Tracey Seaward has rejoined us. Close Enough, together again.
Here's the info: Aspetta Cafe, 207 Augusta Avenue in Kensington Market, 2-3 p.m.

Sit outside and hear some 'grass on Sunday, May 26
On our last gig the weather was fine and the outdoor tables at the Aspetta Cafe were crowded with happy people. We expect the same on Sunday, May 26, 2-3 p.m. So come on out for an espresso, a beer, something to eat, and some bluegrass tunes. Once again Sofia Harwell will be singing with us.***Sunday May 26, 2-3 p.m. Aspetta Cafe, 207 Augusta Avenue in Kensington Market.

A Special Guest on Sunday April 28
Our next gig features a very special guest. Sofia Harwell will be singing and playing guitar. Sofia favours old country and honky-tonk songs, although we'll give them that ol' bluegrass spin. We hope the weather will be nice and Aspetta Cafe will be open to the street but rain or shine (or hail or ooblek) it'll be a good time.

Yes, we have no bananas (or March gig)
No, we're not in Nashville putting on a showcase. Or in the studio cutting our first CD. Or touring Europe. Except maybe in our dreams. In actual fact, we're busy with, well, our real lives. So there's no gig this month. So stay tuned for April--we'll post that date soon. In the meantime here's photo from our last gig.
